This was based on a previous game prototype I made in college, where we had to make a game based around an intentionally uninteresting prompt. The one we got was sheep. I made mine about a kind of sea slug called a leaf sheep.
The story of the game was that the apocalypse had wiped out all non-oceanlife and landmasses on Earth, so the sea creatures evolved into new, more humanoid forms. An alien Overlord that saw itself as Earth's God was very unhappy about humanity causing its own demise and planned to reset the state of the planet, wiping out all of the new sentient life living on it so that there could be humans again. You played as Aloe, a Leaf Sheep who was the protector of an ancient artifact that could potentially stop the Overlord from destroying the planet. You had to travel from the bottom of the ocean towards the surface to the only remaining landmass on the planet in order to fight the Overlord
Due to the game being relatively complex compared to my skill level with the program, I only got as far as the first area. At this time, I was making my maps in Bitsy Colour+ and stitching them together in paint instead of making a tilesheet and drawing them in lvllvl, so even this small map took me a long time.
